If you’re looking for a pair of motorcycle pants that mirror what you wear walking around, then you need to check out single-layer motorcycle jeans.
These pairs of jeans are built a lot like a regular pair of jeans, but they feature upgraded materials and some nice features, making them perfect for motorcyclists.
Here are my five favorite pairs of single-layer motorcycle jeans.
1. Rokker RokkerTech Tapered Slim Jeans
The Rokker RokkerTech Tapered Slim Jeans bring slim leg cut and stylish design to the motorcycle jeans market. These jeans feature ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene construction, which is 15 percent stronger than steel worked in with 12-ounce stretch denim in a single layer.
These jeans are designed to be breathable, feature D3O Ghost knee and hip impact armor with adjustable pockets, and have a rivet free design. They’re CE Level AA rated and made in Portugal.

The Bull-it Icon II Straight Jeans have a straight cut design that’s at home both on and off the bike. The jeas feature Covec High Performance AA stretch denim that’s a single-layer.
Covec is specially designed to disipate heat better than other materials. It’s also cut and tear resistant, meaning you’ll get a high level of protection. These jeans come with adjustable pockets for armor protection, however, knee and hip armor is sold separately.

3. Klim Unlimited Straight Stretch Jeans
If you’re like me you know Klim for its adventure motorcycle gear, but the company makes great stuff for all types of riders. This pair of single-layer motorcycle jeans features a straight cut, meaning you’ll be at home while riding and while walking around.
The jeans feature 12-ounce abrasion resistant and cut resistant stretch denim. There’s subdued Klim branding, a riveted construction, zippered fly and five pocket classic design, gusseted crotch, and a reflective inner cuff that can be turned out for added visibility. These jeans to not provide pockets for impact armor, but they’re still a great pair of jeans for motorcyclists.

Last but not least, we’ll end on the Bull-it Onyx Straight Jeans. Another great option from Bull-it, these jeans provide another straight leg, five-pocket option for anyone who needs it.
The jeans feature the New Tactical II denim from Bull-it, which is AA rated for abrasion resistance and high performance cut and tear strength. You’re also getting a water-repellent finish and adjustable pockets for knee and hip protectors. Unfortunately, though, those protectors will be sold separately.

Additional Options
Are there additional single-layer motorcycle jeans options? Oh yes. There are plenty of them. While these are my top picks, there are several other options out there that might be better for you.
The thing to pay attention to when shopping for these jeans or any type of motorcycle pants is the quality of the materials and the reviews from other customers. If you notice any red flags in the reviews, move on to something else. There are too many good options to take a chance on something that has proven unsatisfactory to others.
And if you’re looking for something with a little more protection, I suggest checking out my other articles on motorcycle pants. These single-layer motorcycle jeans can be a great option, but other types of pants will typically outperform them.
