5 Best 750cc Motorcycles You Can Buy

2024 Honda Shadow Phantom

Middleweight motorcycles, like 750cc motorcycles, are some of the best motorcycles in the world. It’s a great engine size for many applications. They offer plenty of usable power, and below you’ll find the best 750cc motorcycles you can buy.

These bikes range in type from adventure touring machines to sportbikes, and the only thing that is the same (or at least similar) is the displacement of the engines.

So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the five best 750cc motorcycles on sale today.

1. Honda NC750X

Honda NC750X is one of the best 750cc motorcycles

The Honda NC750X is one of Honda’s adventure touring bikes. It’s more of a touring motorcycle than an all-out adventure bike, but in general, this bike is a good all-arounder.

The motorcycle features a 745cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 51 hp. It has an under-seat fuel tank, a low profile windscreen, and a more comfortable seat than most of its competition.

2. Suzuki GSX-R750

If you’re looking for a good sportbike at the 750cc mark, then the Suzuki GSX-R750 is really the only choice. It’s a fantastic sportbike that is at home on the racetrack as well as on the street.

The bike features a 750cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine. That engine makes 148 hp. The GSX-R750 is built to be one of the best sportbikes in the corners, though, which is what makes it a truly good motorcycle to own.

3. Suzuki GSX-S750

Suzuki GSX-S750 is one of the best 750cc motorcycles

If you like the Suzuki GSX-R750 but you’d rather have a naked machine, then there’s a very clear choice. Big surprise, it’s the GSX-S750. This is a street-ready naked sportbike that’s simply a blast to ride.

The bike features the same 749cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder as is in the GSX-R750. The engine in this bike makes 113 hp, so it’s tuned differently and is more usable on the street than the GSX-R750’s engine. If you’re never going to go to the track, this is the bike to have.

4. Honda Shadow Phantom

2024 Honda Shadow Phantom

The Honda Shadow has become somewhat of a metric cruiser icon. The nameplate has been around for quite a long time, and the 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom is better than ever. (There’s also the Shadow Aero, but that’s not quite as good in my opinion.)

The bike features a 745cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. That engine makes 40 hp and the bike comes with some excellent features like ABS (should you want it) and LED lighting.

5. Yamaha YZF-R7

Yamaha YZF-R7

The Yamaha R6 was a truly great sportbike, but it became dated and when Yamaha felt the need to retire it, they also decided to bump the displacement up. The Yamaha YZF-R7 was born.

The R7 features a 689cc liquid-cooled inline two-cylinder engine. I was not going to include this bike because it’s not technically a 750cc motorcycle, but it’s so good, it deserves to be here. Plus the bike makes almost 65 hp, which is plenty more than some of the other rides here. With that in mind, I’d say it qualifies.
