Bajaj, Triumph, Cleveland CycleWerks, and Harley-Davidson in the News
I write daily motorcycle news coverage at Web Bike World, and I like to do an end-of-the-week news roundup here on Wind Burned Eyes.
This week, there’s some really good stuff in the news, including a partnership between two big companies, more details on an electric motorcycle, and a big phat-ass V-twin from the king of V-twin motorcycles.
Let’s dig in.
Bajaj and Triumph Team Up Officially
These two have been flirting with each other going on two years. It’s nice to see them hook up. They will produce 200 to 750cc motorcycles through a non-equity partnership over the next few years.
Cleveland CycleWerks #FalconRising Details
Cleveland CycleWerks has a new electric motorcycle coming, and now there are some actual details out there about the motorcycle. It’s shaping up to be a competitive machine. I’m definitely interested and am pumped for the reveal in Mach (I’ll be attending).
Harley’s Big-Ass Crate V-Twin Engine
Harley-Davidson may never learn. The company just put out a huge 131 cubic inch engine that makes more power than any other engine it has. The new engine will bolt into 2017 and newer touring bikes. It makes a lot of power but does so by just being huge. The tech is pretty old school.
