If you’re looking for a venerable full-face that won’t break the bank, look to the Shoei RF-SR helmet.
Shoei is one of my favorite helmet manufacturers. The company has a long history of building great motorcycle helmets, and the Shoei RF-SR helmet is no exception.
The Shoei retails for around $400. That’s not cheap, but it’s also not the most expensive. The company has way more expensive helmets, and what you get in the RF-SR is quite a lot of features and good protection for the money.
With an intermediate oval shape and a weight of only 3.66 pounds, this helmet should work well for the vast majority of riders.
Here are the helmet’s details:
- Aerodynamic shell made of rigid and lightweight fiver material that comes in four different sizes
- Dual-Layer EPS liner that comes in six different sizes
- Various intake and exhaust vents to keep you comfortable
- Breath guard and chin curtain
- Removable interior liner with quick-release cheek pads
- Windproof and waterproof seal around face shield
- Pinlock pins and EVO fog-resistant shield insert included
- Tool-less shield removal and installation
