2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT Review by Motorcyclist Magazine

The Big Boy V-Strom Is Better Than Ever

If you want an adventure bike and aren’t really interested in the BMW options or the Triumph Tiger, the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT might be a good option.

The guys from Motorcyclist Magazine get a chance to ride it. I suggest you check out their video of the bike above. If you want to read some of my thoughts, keep on reading.

Another Great Adventure Option

The Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT is updated for 2020. The engine is mostly the same, but Suzuki went over it adding revised cam profiles, new pistons, and larger electronic throttle bodies to make it an even better contender.

There’s also some minor updates to the suspension and chassis, and some fancy new tech and ride modes on the bike. Overall, it’s a top-quality machine, and you get all of these goodies for less than you’d spend on the BMW or Triumph machines.

If you’re in the market for a big adventure motorcycle, this is a good choice, especially if you’re on a budget. The bike starts at $14,699 for the 1050XT model, and that’s really very affordable for what you’re getting here, especially when compared to the competition.

It’s not a handsome motorcycle—none of the new adventure bikes are—but then a bike this capable doesn’t have to be pretty.

Kudos to Suzuki for keeping the price down. I suspect that they will be repaid for it and they’ll sell plenty of these. At least I hope so.
