The Honda CM450 is perhaps the perfect beginner motorcycle. Mr. Regular of Regular Car Reviews takes a closer look at this simple and in some ways perfect machine from Honda.

I say perfect in jest. This isn’t a perfect motorcycle, but it will teach you how to ride, and it won’t cost you much money, and that’s really all you want from a first bike.

Mr. Regular is a unique guy. He’s also one of the most insightful people when it comes to vehicles of any type. So, I hold his opinion in high regard.

The Honda CM450 Is a Fantastic Beginner Motorcycle

The Honda CM was made in a few different displacements, including 250, 450, and even 750. Honda even made some automatic versions of the motorcycle. These were identifiable thanks to the A in the naming scheme.

So if it was a CM450 with the weird Honda two-speed torque converter automatic transmission it was a CM450A. Honda called these Hondamatics.

The bike Mr. Regular reviews isn’t the Hondamatic version, which is a shame, because I would have liked to hear his thoughts on this odd automatic transmission, but he still does his thing with the good ole manual transmission CM450 here. I hope you enjoy the video above.
