Custom Retro-Kitted Yamaha Ténéré 700 by Holy Moly Motorcycle

Francisco Menezes of Portugal’s Holy Moly Motorcycles developed a complete, plug-and-play T7 retro kit, aiming to transform the modern ADV into a giant twin-cylinder enduro that honors its air-cooled ancestors, specifically the classic XT600Z Ténéré.

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 (T7) has been lauded for its lightweight design and capable CP2 parallel-twin engine, making it a favorite among adventure riding purists who prefer an old-school approach to off-road travel. However, many find the T7’s modern styling uninspiring and lacking in resemblance to the storied Ténéré bikes of the past.

Custom Yamaha R1 Streetfighter by Xavi Dynamische

This is “Tydirium,” built by Xavi Dynamische. It is a naked superbike conversion of a Yamaha R1 (based on the 2002 Deltabox III chassis), designed to capture the aggressive performance of a race replica while adopting a hyper-naked aesthetic.

The bike is named after Darth Vader’s personal shuttle due to its all-black, menacing look. Unlike most modern factory naked bikes, which often feature lower-spec components and reduced power, the Tydirium retains the full performance capabilities of the R1’s engine and chassis, including its claimed 152 hp output and a notably low dry weight of 174 kg (383 lbs).

The Yamaha XT500 restomod, built by Purpose Built Moto (PBM) and affectionately called the “VMX Scrambler,” is a tribute that blends the iconic dual-sport’s classic charm with aggressive vintage motocross and scrambler styling and modern reliability.

The aesthetic maintains the XT500’s DNA but features PBM’s signature style, including a modified factory fuel tank, custom aluminum bodywork, and a distinctive yellow and black ‘speed block’ paint scheme inspired by the 1976 Yamaha YZ400.

Known for its powerful V-twin engine, the Yamaha TR1 was often called the “poor man’s Vincent,” a comparison Christian took seriously. His goal was to build a machine worthy of the legendary name, reinterpreting the 1960s British café racer style through a lens of Italian creativity and mechanical obsession.
