Indian Motorcycle helped contribute to the strong numbers.

Polaris had a heck of a good last quarter of 2022. The company saw a 21-percent increase in Q4 sales. The $2.4B in sales was a stronger showing than many people predicted. The majority of the rise came domestically with international sales staying strong as well.

Polaris Q4 Sales, A Good Hint at 2023

Polaris owns Indian Motorcycle, but that is just a small part of the picture. Indian accounted for only a low-single-digit percentage of the overall increase.

“Throughout the year, we continued to assert our position as the global leader in powersports by renewing our commitment to our core businesses, delivering rider-driven innovation, and successfully navigating a challenging environment,” proclaimed Polaris CEO Mike Speetzen.

“Looking ahead, we see significant opportunity for success supported by a strong pipeline of new products and continued supply chain improvement. Although macroeconomic headwinds may persist in 2023, our team remains agile and poised to deliver industry-leading innovation that is consistent with the Polaris brand.”

The company expects its success to continue in 2023. That said, they don’t expect to see anything close to Q4 results. Projections put sales increases below 5 percent.
