Benda’s Rock 707 cruiser has arrived at European dealers with a feature set you would not expect at this price point. The Chinese manufacturer is asking €9,999 in Germany for a 692cc V-twin with an electronic clutch and adaptive air suspension.
The Rock 707 produces 73 hp at 9,000 rpm and 68 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. That is a high rev peak for a cruiser, where low-end torque usually does the talking.
Belt final drive and a six-speed gearbox round out the powertrain.
An Electronic Clutch That Actually Makes Sense
The standout tech is Benda’s BEC MK-III electronic clutch, which uses two redundant servo motors to handle pullaway, gear shifts, and stops without the rider touching the clutch lever. A manual override remains available at any time through the conventional lever.
That setup targets exactly the scenarios where a clutch becomes a chore: stop-start traffic, low-speed maneuvering, and town riding. A slipper clutch is also fitted for fast downshifts.
Air Suspension That Adjusts Itself
The rear dual-chamber air suspension automatically lowers the bike 30mm when you stop, dropping the seat from 720mm to 690mm. It rises back to riding height as you pull away.
The system also responds to road conditions and rider plus passenger load. A 41mm upside-down fork handles front duties with 130mm of travel.
Rear travel is 50mm, with 135mm of ground clearance.
The rest of the package reads like a full-size cruiser spec sheet. A 320mm front disc with a four-piston radial caliper, 260mm rear disc, ABS, and traction control are all standard.
Cruise control and dual USB ports round out the electronics. The 3.6-inch TFT display runs at 800 nits of brightness.
At 235 kg (518 lbs) wet, the Rock 707 is not a lightweight. That is roughly 60 lbs heavier than a Honda Rebel 500.
Fuel capacity is 16 liters, good for around 250 km of range at a claimed 5.3 L/100km.
Four colors are available: Knight Black, Sandy Gray, Windy White, and Armor Green. Benda notes availability varies by market.
The bike will get a full public showing at EICMA in Milan this November, where Benda plans to display additional new models alongside it.
Benda’s European operation is run from Salzburg through Benda Motor Europe GmbH, following Benda’s earlier expansion into the US market. The company offers a three-year warranty in Germany and Switzerland, extendable to five years.
