What Bultaco’s Rally GT 300 Means for Small ADVs

Bultaco is returning to petrol power with the Rally GT 300, a small adventure motorcycle developed with fellow Spanish company Leonart. Motorcycle News reports that the bike is now available to reserve in Europe for €3,999, while UK pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.

The name carries history, but the mechanical package is thoroughly modern and shared with the Leonart Rally 300. That puts a liquid-cooled 292cc single, Bosch fuel injection, a six-speed gearbox, and claimed outputs of 28 horsepower and 25 Nm of torque under the Bultaco bodywork.

A compact ADV with practical hardware

A 19-inch front wheel, 17-inch rear wheel, inverted fork, rear monoshock, and ABS give the Rally GT 300 the expected trail-bike layout. Its 150-kilogram claimed curb weight is competitive, although the 883mm seat could be a serious consideration for shorter riders.

Bultaco lists 260mm of ground clearance and a 16-liter fuel tank, dimensions that point toward mixed road and light-trail use rather than technical enduro riding. The bike also gets full LED lighting, a five-inch TFT display, a USB socket, luggage rack, engine bars, tire-pressure monitoring, and a built-in dashcam.

That equipment list gives the Rally GT 300 a clear position between basic commuter motorcycles and larger middleweight adventure bikes. The €3,999 price also places it below many European-designed alternatives, though the final value will depend on dealer support, parts access, and how the Chinese-built platform performs over time.

Bultaco is betting on accessibility

Visordown describes the Rally GT 300 as a mid-weight adventure model, but its engine and price make it more relevant as an entry point into the category. Riders who do not need the power, fuel capacity, or electronic systems of larger machines may see a simpler route into weekend travel and unpaved roads.

The launch also shows how historic motorcycle names are being rebuilt through partnerships rather than entirely new platforms. That approach is already visible across the small-adventure class, where the Rally GT 300 will face bikes such as the ZXMoto 820X ADV at the opposite end of the size and performance range.

For now, Bultaco’s next chapter depends on where Leonart takes the motorcycle after its Spanish launch. A confirmed UK or U.S. importer would turn an interesting revival into a more meaningful choice for riders outside its first market.
