Triumph Special Edition Motorcycles 2022 – Rocket 3, Thruxton, Street Twin

2022 Triumph Rocket 3 GT 221 Edition - special edition

Triumph announced three new special edition motorcycles for 2022. The company revealed the Street Twin EC1, Thruxton RS Ton Up, and the 221 Edition Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT.

These special edition bikes each celebrate something specific, and while they don’t vary from the regular production motorcycles from a mechanical standpoint, they get unique liveries.

Let’s take a closer look at these new special editions and see what each offers.

221 Edition Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT

Triumph 221 Edition Rocket 3 GT

The 211 Edition Rocket 3 R and 221 Edition Rocket 3 GT might sound kinda odd. What’s 221? That’s the actual Nm of torque this bike puts out. This special edition is designed to celebrate it.

Mechanically, the bike isn’t different than the standard model, but it does get a unique “Red Hopper” color scheme with Sapphire Black fender brackets and some 221 badging.

The bike is priced at $24,600 for the GT and $23,900 for the GT.

Street Twin EC1

Paying homage to the East End of London, this bike’s EC1 designation comes from the postal designation. Embodying the historic streets that give this bike its name, the Street Twin EC1 is a real looker.

The bike’s unique touches include a Matt Aluminum Silver and Matt Silver Ice paint scheme with EC1 graphics. There’s also a Matt Silver Ice flyscreen or some additional Street Twin accessories. Mechanically it’s no different than the production bike.

The Street Twin EC1 has a super reasonable price tag of $10,350, which is $750 over the standard bike’s price.

Thruxton RS Ton Up

Triumph thruxton RS ton up

Say hello to one of the sexiest production motorcycles of the year. This bike is named for the Ton Up Boys cafe racer subculture of the 1950s that’s made a huge comeback in recent years.

The bike features an Aegean Blue fuel tank with Jet Black knee pad graphics. The pinstriping is hand-painted. Additionally, you’ll see the tail cowl features Fusion White with a Carnival Red infill with hand-painted black striping. And, of course, Triumph has plenty of special edition badges and graphics.

The British firm placed a $17,300 price tag on this model, an $800 upcharge from the standard model.
