The Norton 650 Superlight Mission is the Lightweight TT

A twin tube chassis and tons of carbon fiber make the 650 Superlight, well, super light.

Norton isn’t joking around with its new offerings. It showed off the 650 Atlas in two trim levels, and it also has an all-new 650 Superlight, that should be a screaming-fast bike.

Norton designed it to compete at the highest level in the Lightweight TT at the Isle of Man.

It’s like a baby V4, which is what some are calling it.

As Trim as a Supermodel

RideApart called the bike the baby V4, but I’ve seen others do the same. The publication also noted carbon fiber makes up the entire fairing and much of its bodywork.

Pair that with the twin tube frame and the fact that the engine doubles as structural support and you have a bike that’s extremely lightweight.

The 650 Superlight uses the same engine that’s in the new Atlas, but Norton has reworked the engine.

It now makes 106 hp. That should make the 348-pound motorcycle fly around the Isle of Man like it was fired from a carbon-fiber-shooting cannon.

I can’t wait to see this thing in action.
