The BMW M 1000 RR is a beast of a sportbike and Michael Gilbert of Cycle World magazine recently had a chance to get in the saddle of this Bavarian wild child.

The bike is the sharp end of the stick for BMW Motorrad. It is a race-homologated machine ready for any track out there.

This is a wild ride as you can see from the video above.

Michael Gilbert said he found the bike to be an extremely impressive machine from BMW.

“Coming out of the corners this is an absolute monster,” he says in the video above.

The BMW M 1000 RR offers up around 161 hp and about 77 lb-ft of torque in a highly tuned package that’s as sharp as a razor on the track. BMW has some optional equipment too, that will help make this machine even more of a beast if you want it.
