Custom Yamaha XT600 “113” by Unik Edition

Single-cylinder motorcycles are some of my favorites. Yamaha’s XT600 bikes are some of the best out there. And this is a beautiful custom Yamaha XT600.

This particular bike built by Unik Edition who I have reported on before is a truly beautiful machine.

It’s a dual-sport, adventure, scrambler machine like no other.

Yamaha R6: A Detailed Look at the Iconic Sportbike

The Yamaha YZF-R6 Is a True King of the 600 Class Sportbikes

Yamaha has built some of the most impressive sportbikes in the history of the world. While the Yamaha R6 won’t put literbikes in its mirrors, it is a dominant force in its class.

With the Yamaha R6 going away (at least for a while) after the 2020 model year, I thought it best to take a good hard look at the bike and what it has meant to the motorcycling community in the last 21 years.

Video: Zombie Bikes! with Zack and Ari for MotorTrend

Zack and Ari are now shooting vids for Revzilla, but they were with MotorTrend not long ago.

Recently, MotorTrend did a wonderful thing and uploaded more of the Throttle Out series with these guys to its YouTube channel.

This episode is all about taking junk bikes and getting them running. The scenario was what would the guys do if there was a Zombie apocalypse.

5 Best Classic Motorcycles to Customize

Something I’ve been asked more than once is, “what are the best classic motorcycles to customize?”

I usually tell people the first thing they need to do if they have a classic motorcycle is to learn how to maintain it in its stock form. Then they can think about customization.

There’s nothing wrong with having a stock motorcycle. However, I completely get the appeal of a customized motorcycle. It allows you to put a personalized touch on your own machine and is quite clearly an art form. If you’re looking for a good bike, I have the list for you.

Two stroke street bikes used to be a thing. In this episode of Daily Rider, Zack Courts rides a 1984 Yamaha RZ350

The ring-ding-dung bike is a truly great machine, but it also comes with some notable downsides, which is why you don’t see two-stroke street bikes today.

Still the motorcycle is a special machine and it makes me wish there were modern two-stroke motorcycles on sale today.
