Shell Construction
The outer shell and chin bar are both built from Sedici’s 6k carbon composite a proprietary blend of carbon fiber, nylon, and military-spec resin. That combination prioritizes both strength and weight reduction. Two shell sizes cover XS through 2XL, keeping the fit proportional across the size range rather than using a single oversized shell.
The EPS liner uses four densities across two liner sizes, tuned to absorb different impact speeds and energies at different zones of the helmet. The EPS is channeled internally for airflow, so ventilation works through the liner rather than just around it.

Modular Design and Chin Bar
The flip-up modular chin bar gives you the option to ride with the face open or closed. As a dual-sport helmet, it’s designed to handle both on-road use with the chin bar down and low-speed or off-road sections with it flipped up for visibility and airflow.
Peak Visor and Sun Visor
The removable peak visor is aerodynamically tuned to reduce lift and turbulence a meaningful engineering detail given that poorly designed peaks can create serious stability issues at highway speeds. The peak is fully removable, allowing you to reconfigure the helmet for pure road use without it.
An internal drop-down dark smoke sun visor handles glare without requiring a separate tinted shield swap. Separate independent controls let you direct airflow to the shield and face independently, and a seamless 360-degree face shield gasket minimizes wind noise when the chin bar is closed.
Ventilation
Two dual top intake vents at the crown feed air into deeply channeled EPS, with two rear exhaust vents to maximize air extraction. The independent airflow controls mean you can manage airflow to the shield and face separately, which is useful for managing fog on the shield while keeping airflow on your face.
Interior
The top liner uses thermal welding to reduce seams a comfort detail that eliminates the pressure points that sewn seams can create during long rides. A removable chin skirt is included to reduce wind noise when needed.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- 6k carbon composite shell and chin bar genuinely lightweight construction
- Aerodynamically tuned removable peak visor
- Internal drop-down sun visor
- Four-density EPS liner
- Independent airflow controls for shield and face
- 360-degree face shield gasket
- Thermal-welded top liner reduces seam pressure points
Cons:
- Two shell sizes only fit options more limited than helmets with three or four shell sizes
- Modular helmets are inherently heavier than full-face equivalents at the same shell material
- Sedici is a Cycle Gear house brand less established than premium helmet brands
The Sedici Adventure Modular Carbon offers a lot of hardware for around The carbon composite construction, internal sun visor, aerodynamic peak, and independent airflow controls are features you’d expect to pay more for. If you’re an adventure rider who wants a lightweight modular without spending on a premium brand name, this one deserves a close look.
