Harley Announces the Hardwire Strategy

It seems like just yesterday Harley announced the Rewire strategy. Now that strategy will expire at the end of the year, and Harley will begin the 5-year Hardwire strategy. It sounds like the company will go back to focusing on core competencies, and that could be a recipe for disaster. However, the business is in need of streamlining, and that’s exactly what this new Hardwire strategy sets out to do.

This rumor comes up time and time again, but there could be some validity here. Everyone wants a Honda V4 superbike, and according to sources in Japan, it’s going to happen. I hope it does, but I have little faith in this coming to fruition.

Honda Is Working On An Electric Super Cub

This news of a future Honda bike is much more concrete. The concept was revealed in 2015, and this patent shows a new battery box for the electric Super Cub. I would totally buy one of these if the price is right. A patent doesn’t mean it will definitely get built, but it’s certainly a good indicator.
