Harley, Ducati, and BMW are in the News This Week
This has been a busy week for me. I spent it hanging with GMC and doing some autos writing about their new products, but motorcycles are where it’s really at, so let’s take a look at the motorcycle news from this week.
Harley has a new scooter, and BMW and Ducati made waves this year in terms of sales. Woot! Let’s dig in.
Harley’s New Electric Scooter Patents
We all knew this one was coming, and now it looks like Harley has taken this to the next level. The company published some new patents for its electric scooter that kind of looks like an old-school mini bike.
BMW Sold a Lot of Motorcycles
BMW had a good year this last year, selling a record number of bikes in 2019. It sold more than 175,000 bikes worldwide. That’s a lot of Bavarian beauties. Kudos to BMW.
So Did Ducati
The company managed to top 53,000 sales for two years in a row now. 2019’s sales numbers were higher than 2018s but only slightly. Still, that’s positive growth and the Italian company should be pumped.
