MV Agusta’s Brutale line of motorcycles is nothing new, but the Brutale 1000 RS is the latest addition.

This motorcycle takes everything that everyone already loves about the Brutale and adds a sport-touring slant to it.

MV Agusta will have this motorcycle at the 2021 EICMA. The event didn’t happen last year due to COVID-19 but it’s back on now.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Brutale 1000 RS is that it looks a heck of a lot like the Brutale 1000 RR. But there are some differences.

First, the color schemes and graphics are different. Big deal, right? But there’s more. The seat is upgraded, the handlebars are new, there are five-spoke aluminum wheels, and the suspension is different.

The idea here is to make the bike more accessible and better to ride for long periods of time. The engine is the same as the RR model but tweaked for modern emissions and the uses of the RS. It makes 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and 86 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm.

The suspension is mechanically adjustable and is comprised of a 50mm male-slider Marzocchi front fork and a Sachs rear shock.

Doing the braking duties, you get twin Brembo 320mm rotors and Stylema radial-mount four-piston calipers at the front wheel and a 220mm Brembo rotor and two-piston caliper at the rear wheel of the motorcycle.

Additional features include lean-sensitive traction control, an Eldor Nemo 2.1 ECU, and a slew of safety systems thanks to MV Agusta’s use of its new IMU six-axis inertial platform.
