Merlin Slink Shoes – Everything You Need to Know

Merlink Slink WP shoes, motorcycle boots

If you’re looking for a smartly styled and sensible riding shoe option, make sure you check out the Merlin Slink WP shoes that recently showed up.

I’ve discussed motorcycle shoes previously. They’re a great option for folks who don’t want bulky motorcycle boots. Riding shoes are lighter, very comfortable on and off the bike, and usually more affordable. You can find them for as low as $100, in some cases.

While the Merlin Slink WP shoes don’t fall into that price range, they are well under $200. Let’s take a closer look.

These boots offer some stylish suede shoes with some modern street style to them. While suede isn’t my first choice for a riding shoe, I will say these things will look good both on and off the bike. But then it’s not all just about looks.

The shoes feature premium cowhide leather construction that gives them good shape and strength for all the rigors of the ride. The suede effect finish isn’t some light wimpy stuff. It should wear pretty well over time.

Perhaps the best part about these shoes is the Hydroguard waterproof system, designed to keep your feet dry while you’re out there on the bike. Add to the package some D30 impact protectors in key areas, a padded comfort collar, heel puller strap, and laces for strapping these bad boys on your feet, and you have a great pair of riding shoes.

The shoes are CE-certified, which should provide you with some peace of mind. Will they be as robust as some other motorcycle boots I’ve written about in the past? Probably not, but if you’re looking for a simple, stylish option that comes with CE certification and some nice features, the Merlin Slink WP shoes make a lot of sense.
