Is Indian Motorcycle’s New Signature Series the Premium Tour Bike Worth the Investment?

Indian Motorcycle is leaning hard into exclusivity with its new Signature Series, a hand-finished, limited-production lineup that throws a spotlight on craftsmanship and paint depth. Four models are getting the treatment: the Chieftain PowerPlus, Challenger, Roadmaster PowerPlus, and Pursuit, each starting between $40,999 and $46,749.

Custom paint shops charge thousands for what Indian is offering here. Each Signature Series bike goes through a multi-layer paint process with hand-finishing, meaning no two are identical in practice.

Paint and Exclusivity

The Chieftain PowerPlus Signature Series carries an Abyss Metallic base with Venom Green and Cypher Green accents over Gauge Gray. The Challenger pairs Abyss Metallic with Machined Silver and Red Alert, both starting at $40,999.

On the touring side, the Roadmaster PowerPlus and Pursuit models hit $46,749 and pack Frontier Pearl with Revere Red and Vigilant Blue, honoring America’s 250th anniversary. These aren’t just color options. Hand-finishing means each bike carries its own character.

Performance and Tech

All four bikes share Indian’s PowerPlus 112, a liquid-cooled V-twin that anchors the touring lineup. Horsepower and torque deliver what you need for highway miles without drama.

Rider Assist tech comes standard: Bike Hold, Electronic Combined Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Tailgate Warning, Rear Collision Warning, and SmartLean. The seven-inch Ride Command touchscreen includes GPS, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay integration.

If you’re looking at a touring motorcycle and want something beyond standard colors, the Signature Series sits between a stock model and a full custom build. The price reflects that positioning.
