ICON Sanctuary Jacket

The ICON Sanctuary jacket is a lightweight jacket that brings style and protection at a fair price.

Icon’s Sanctuary Is stylish, lightweight, and safe.

When I think motorcycle jacket I think of a black jacket, but the Icon Sanctuary looks pretty good. I also particularly like the fact that it combines leather and mesh-material into one jacket.

It’s the Icon Sanctuary, and it has a sporty, urban-assault style I think is pretty good-looking, especially if you had the right bike.

It also comes with a ton of genuinely good features. Let’s take a closer look.

Icon’s gear is both style and substance. The company’s gear is high quality, and while sometimes it places style higher than safety and comfort, in the case of the Sanctuary it seems to have struck a good balance.

Safety and Comfort Features of the Icon Sanctuary

Around 60 percent of the jacket is made up of strong leather. The bike also has D3O armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back. Icon has a unique way of stitching in its logos and putting together the materials that make it strong and abrasion-resistant.

The D3O armor handles impact safety. While there are safer jackets out there, the Icon Sanctuary should provide you with enough cover in the event of an accident.

The jacket might look like it fits tight, but it certainly doesn’t offer a race fit. Most customer reviews state that it’s a little more relaxed, which should be good for many riders. Stick to Icon’s sizing chart and you should be happy with the results.

The jacket comes with a mixture of perforated leather and mesh-material to keep airflow high. There are also vents on the arms and rear of the jacket.

There’s also ratcheting adjustment near the waist of the jacket to cinch it down.

The interior of the jacket features a thermal liner and mesh material for a nice mix of breathability and warmth.

It’s available in what Icon calls stealth (black) if you don’t like the light gray with red accents shown above. If you don’t like either of those options, you have five others to choose from.
