Hayabusa to Continue in the U.S.

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

It’s Still Here.

I previously reported that the Hayabusa would cease to exist. Suzuki would end production after this year. That no longer seems to be the case, at least for U.S. buyers.

Because the U.S. has different emissions ratings than the rest of the world, Suzuki will continue to build the motorcycle.

Get excited, and get going fast.

UPDATE: The Suzuki Hayabusa did return. It is back and it is a wonderful thing.

I would say that I am mildly perturbed that Suzuki didn’t do more with this new bike. Yes, the Busa is back and as badass as ever, but it would have been killer to see Suzuki re-imagine the bike rather than just doing an update on it.

With that said, I’m super thrilled it didn’t take too long for the company to bring the bike back into its lineup in a new global form. The old Hayabusa was getting pretty long in the tooth, and as great as it was, an update was certainly needed.

This new bike will serve that purpose well. If you haven’t seen the motorcycle yet, I’d say to head over to Suzuki’s website and check the bike out. It’s worth a look to see this fantastic sportbike.
