Ducati recently revealed its new mid-size adventure touring machine, the Ducati Multistrada V2.

Ducati calls this “the ideal bike to fully enjoy every route, versatile in everyday use and in the city, always with the sportiness and unmistakable style that characterize every Ducati.”

Ducati Multistrada V2 – Continuing the Evolution of the Multistrada

New Multistrada V2

In Ducati’s first episode of its Ducati World Premiere 2022, the company showcased the Multistrada V2.

The episode was aptly named “Your everyday wonder.” That’s what the Multistrada is. It’s a bike that can do it all. A kind of 360-degree multi-tool ready for any challenge. The Multistrada V2 looks to be one of the strongest versions of the bike.

The motorcycle features the 937cc Testastretta 11-degree V-twin engine. It gets new connecting rods and some minor updates from a previous version of the engine. It makes 113 hp and 71 lb-ft of torque.

That engine is connected to a revised gearbox with an eight-disc hydraulic clutch and quick shifter. Ducati says it’s designed for precision and fluidity.

The Multistrada V2 is also lighter than its predecessor by about 4.4 pounds. This comes from the engine and transmission upgrades.

The seat has been recreated to be more comfortable and the footpegs are 0.4 inches farther from the seat, offering just a smidge more legroom.

Seat height is at 32.7, which is about 0.4 inches lower than the Multistrada 950. You can get different seats for this bike that will put you at 33.5 inches or 31.9 inches high depending on which you go for. Additional updates include new cast wheels (saving 11 pounds).

Otherwise, you’ll find many of the same features, including riding modes, traction and cornering ABS, and vehicle hold control. This is an evolution, not a revolution, but considering the updates, it’s a good step in the growth of the Multistrada.
