While the MSRP of the bike is slightly higher than some of the competition, the Tiger Sport 660 is said to have a very low cost of ownership. According to Triumph, service intervals are every 10,000 miles or 12 months. That equates to roughly 17 percent lower maintenance costs.

costs aside, the Tiger Sport 660 is an enticing package. The bike gets its power from a liquid-cooled DOHC Inline-Triple—the same engine as the Trident—that makes 80 hp at 10,250 rpm and 47 lb-ft. at 6,250 rpm. The vast majority of the torque is said to be available from 3,600 rpm to 9,750 rpm.

The bike also gets a slipper clutch for easy operation. You can get a quick shifter added as an accessory if you’d like.

The bike gets a similar suspension setup on the front and rear to the Trident, but with 5.9 inches of wheel travel. Nissin brakes provide stopping power. The Tiger Sport 660 has a longer subframe and a higher seat height of 32.8 inches.

There’s a fairly robust electronics package here, too, with ABS, switchable traction control, two ride modes, and a small color TFT display. Also, the bike interfaces with the My Triumph app.

Triumph has created plenty of accessories for the bike, so you can equip it for touring easily. There are saddlebags, a top case, and other things. Overall, this bike looks to be an excellent all-around motorcycle. The bike will hit dealership showroom floors in February of 2022.
