Motorcycles – So Many Choices

The world of motorcycles is a robust one. There’s a motorcycle designed for pretty much every use out there. The companies selling bikes are trying to appeal to every area of the market from the folks who love to cruise to the racers to the adventurers.

Then there’s the custom bike scene. Geniuses, craftsmen, artists take motorcycles and turn them into rolling pieces of art.

I try to cover a little bit of it all. From the new bikes rolling off the production lines at the various motorcycle manufacturers to the littlest of custom shops and individuals tinkering around in their sheds.

Types of Motorcycles

Here are the main types of motorcycles I typically write about on this site.

Motorcycle Brands

The fun doesn’t stop with the various types of motorcycles. There are also tons of brands that sell each type of motorcycle. I’ve written an article on the different motorcycle brands out there, and that should give you a pretty clear idea of what you’ll find.

Motorcycle Engine Size

Motorcycle type and the different brands matter a ton, but I often find myself and other riders classifying motorcycles by their engine size or displacement.

This is typically how the industry categorizes motorcycles. You’ll see a 250cc class, a 600cc class, etc. To learn more, check out my article on the various engine sizes out there in the world of motorcycles.

Motorcycles and Prices

Lastly, I want to talk about the price of motorcycles. Everyone has to work in a budget, and you can buy a nice bike for very little money, but you can also spend a ton.

Price is a big deciding factor, and I would hope you take it into account. Here are my thoughts on motorcycles and their prices.

A scrambler based on the Honda Rebel has been in the works for some time, Honda revealed the CL500 not long ago, and now the CL300 takes a bow. The company launched the little bike in China, which makes sense for the smaller-displacement machine.

New Electric Off-Road Vehicle Tax Credit Bill Leaves Out Motorcycles

A slap in the face to riders everywhere.

Minnesota congressman Dean Phillips introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives on December 8, 2022, that would bring a new electric off-road vehicle tax credit. This bill sounds great, but it leaves out motorcycles. H. R. 9481 is for vehicles that have three or more wheels.

Documents Confirm 2023 Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary Models, Touring, Softail, and CVO Models

Harley is adding some special bikes in 2023.

Some Australian certification documents came to the notice of the motorcycle industry press recently, alerting everyone to the fact that Harley is coming out with a Nightster S and Softail models in Australia in 2023. Additional documents show Harley’s touring, CVO, and Harley-Davidson 120th anniversary models. While it’s for the Australian market, it likely speaks for the company globally.

All Ducati Panigale V4 2022 World Champion Replica Models Sold Out In Hours

Ducati didn’t have to wait long.

The Ducati Panigale V4 Bagnaia 2022 World Champion Replica and Panigale V4 Bautista 2022 World Champion Replica are all claimed, so if you wanted to get your hands on one, you officially missed out. The company presented this special edition bike at the ‘Champions in Piazza2’ party. Ducati will produce only 260 of these bikes. According to the release, a lot of folks bought both models.
