The Brits have gone and done it again, unveiling the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 900, hot on the heels of the reveal of the Speed Twin 1200, with that unmistakable British flair. It’s as if they’ve taken something already handsome and, with just the right amount of tweaking, made it even better looking without losing the heritage charm. A tough balance, but Triumph’s knack for design shines through.

Motorcycles – So Many Choices
The world of motorcycles is a robust one. There’s a motorcycle designed for pretty much every use out there. The companies selling bikes are trying to appeal to every area of the market from the folks who love to cruise to the racers to the adventurers.
Then there’s the custom bike scene. Geniuses, craftsmen, artists take motorcycles and turn them into rolling pieces of art.
I try to cover a little bit of it all. From the new bikes rolling off the production lines at the various motorcycle manufacturers to the littlest of custom shops and individuals tinkering around in their sheds.
Types of Motorcycles
Here are the main types of motorcycles I typically write about on this site.
- Cafe Racer
- Scrambler
- Bobber
- Sportbikes
- Electric Motorcycles
- Minibikes
- Cruisers
- Adventure Bikes
- Moped
- Scooter
Note that this isn’t an exhaustive list, and the article linked above about the different types of motorcycles will explain the full picture.
Motorcycle Brands
The fun doesn’t stop with the various types of motorcycles. There are also tons of brands that sell each type of motorcycle. I’ve written an article on the different motorcycle brands out there, and that should give you a pretty clear idea of what you’ll find.
Motorcycle Engine Size
Motorcycle type and the different brands matter a ton, but I often find myself and other riders classifying motorcycles by their engine size or displacement.
This is typically how the industry categorizes motorcycles. You’ll see a 250cc class, a 600cc class, etc. To learn more, check out my article on the various engine sizes out there in the world of motorcycles.
Motorcycles and Prices
Lastly, I want to talk about the price of motorcycles. Everyone has to work in a budget, and you can buy a nice bike for very little money, but you can also spend a ton.
Price is a big deciding factor, and I would hope you take it into account. Here are my thoughts on motorcycles and their prices.
Below are the latest articles on various motorcycles.
Energica Declared Bankruptcy, Will Liquidate
Well, folks, it’s official—Energica is shutting down for good. One of the pioneers in electric motorcycles just couldn’t find a way out. In a press release yesterday, they confirmed what many had feared: after failing to secure new investors or revenue streams, the company will enter bankruptcy and fully liquidate its assets. No second chances, no Cake-like resurrection.

Not long ago I called 650cc motorcycles some of the best out there that you can buy. I stand by that, but if you feel you need a little more oomph at the twist of a wrist and a slightly larger engine size, I’d suggest going with a motorcycle between 800cc to 850cc.
This is another sweet spot in the motorcycle industry. There’s plenty of power, the bikes are still relatively lightweight, and you can find them for good prices, especially on the used market.
With all that said. Here are my to picks for 800cc to 850cc motorcycles.

In the 1995 dystopian action flick Judge Dredd, based on a comic book which is focused on a character from the British comic 2000 AD, one machine stands out almost as much as its star, Sylvester Stallone: the Lawmaster. This bike isn’t just a motorcycle—it’s a statement, a symbol of the brutal, authoritarian world of Mega-City One, where judges like Dredd don’t just enforce the law, they are the law. The Lawmaster embodies the gritty, no-nonsense future policing at the heart of the film. So, what exactly is this behemoth on wheels? Let’s break it down.

Thermal runaway—the boogeyman of electric vehicles, including electric motorcycles. Cars, buildings, everything nearby—up in flames. No wonder some parking garages are banning EVs. Insuring something that might burn the whole place down? Good luck.

In Kill Bill, Tarantino gives us one of the most iconic scenes in modern cinema, and no small part of that magic rides on two wheels—a gleaming, yellow-and-black Kawasaki ZZR250. But as with anything in a Tarantino film, it’s not just about the bike itself; it’s about what it represents, how it moves, and the way it fits into the whole bloody spectacle of revenge.

Ah, Wild Hogs. A 2007 buddy comedy about four middle-aged men swapping suburban ennui for the open road. It’s a film where midlife crisis meets the throttle, and if you’ve ever seen it, you’ll know the motorcycles are more than just set pieces—they’re iron steeds symbolizing a deep yearning for freedom and rebellion. But the question you asked—what motorcycle is in Wild Hogs?—is one worth chewing on, because the answer is more than a simple roll call of chrome and engines. It’s about how each bike mirrors the man riding it.
