Best GPS Systems Under $100 For Motorcycle Riders

motorcycle GPS systems under $100

Having GPS systems to guide you isn’t a must, it is instead an optional piece of gear. In fact, I’d say you should be able to get by without a GPS for motorcycle riders, but they do come in handy, and you don’t have to spend hundreds to get one.

These days you can get a good GPS system for motorcycle riders for under $100 if you look hard enough. This will help make your trips quick and easy, and help you navigate unfamiliar environments with ease.

While most options at this price point were designed for car use, they can easily be adapted to fit on your motorcycle’s handlebars and used on your next ride. Here are a few of the best GPS options for under $100.

NAVRUF Navigation System

The NAVRUF Navigation System is designed for everyday road use in your car or truck. It has a very clear layout and a 7-inch display. This might be kind of large for your motorcycle, but with the right adapter for your handlebars, it could really be just about perfect.

The product offers 3D GPS navigation instructions with voice controls. However, I would likely turn these off unless you wanted to connect some headphones, which is a possibility thanks to the audio port. This product could be a fantastic option for someone who needs a basic GPS system for their motorcycle.

Your Own Smartphone

So, you might not need to buy a new GPS system at all. You might be walking around with a competent GPS system right now.

If you have a smartphone, you have one right in your pocket. Your phone likely came with a GPS navigation app on it. If it didn’t you can download one from the app store for free and have and use it each and every time you get on your motorcycle.

All you’ll need is a simple phone mount for your motorcycle’s handlebars and you’ll be good to go. There are plenty of options out there, and I’ve provided a link below to some good ones.

If you don’t have a smartphone, I’d suggest getting one. They can be had for around $50 and even the most basic ones will have some kind of navigation system on it. You don’t even have to buy a phone plan. Just pay month to month. It’s extremely easy.

Are Maps Still a Good Alternative to a Motorcycle GPS?

maps for motorcyclists

Of course a paper map is still a valid way of getting around. In fact, I’d suggest buying a map of the area that you plan on riding around in and keeping it stored somewhere on your motorcycle.

This is especially true for longer trips where you might be traveling through areas you’re unfamiliar with. Even if you don’t use them, having a map or a few maps as a backup can provide peace of mind, and I think it’s something you should take with you.
