The warm temperatures are here. Do you have a jacket that’s ready for them? No? Well, it’s time to consider the REV’IT! Eclipse Jacket. This jacket is designed to move a lot of air and that makes it great for warm weather riding.
The Eclipse is a popular jacket. It’s affordable (under $200), good-looking, provides good protection, and it is designed with rider comfort in mind. If you’re without a good jacket summer jacket, I suggest you give this one a look.
Before I get into the review of this jacket, I want to go over the details, provide plenty of images, and some looks at the Eclipse jacket from some other outlets out there. Then we’ll dive into my review.

My Review of the REV’IT! Eclipse Jacket
Now that the basic information is out of the way, let’s get into my review of the REV’IT! Eclipse Jacket.
Built for Warm Temperatures
As I noted above, the Eclipse jacket is designed for riders who are going to be taking on the hot and warm weather in the summer months. It’s been designed by REV’IT! to move a lot of air around your body so you can comfortably ride.
At this, it does a good job. The jacket will provide you with good airflow, and while no jacket will be able to keep you cool no matter the temperature, you’ll find this is a good option for those warm summer months.
Designed with Protection in Mind
While the focus for the Rev’IT! Eclipse jacket is on comfort in warm weather the quality of materials and high level of protection is still there.
As noted above, the jacket comes with CE-approved armor in the elbows and shoulders. This provides needed protection in key areas. Also, there’s room for a back protector, though that protector is sold separately.
A note on back protectors, though. They can be hot. You’re simply not going to get as much airflow with a back protector in your jacket as you would without it. So weigh comfort and protection here. I’ll leave that choice up to you ultimately.
More than Stylish Enough for Any Rider
Lastly, I’ll talk about the Rev’IT! Eclipse jacket’s style. The jacket is legitimately stylish. It will look good on and off the bike, but it’s obviously a motorcycle jacket that’s purpose built.
That said, I find it to be more attractive than some other mesh jackets. I’m not saying I’d wear it if I wasn’t riding a bike, but you won’t be wildly out of place once you park, which is a good thing for any motorcycle jacket.
REV’IT! is a premium brand and the company does an excellent job making gear that both fits good and looks nice. Add to that all of the features and protective qualities of this jacket and you have a really nice piece of gear. It’s a jacket I’ve recommended often, and one that I will continue to recommend until something better comes along.
