You can buy the Aero helmet without the fan, but why would you? The fan is what you’re after with this thing. Momodesign calls its unique fan system the Tornado Ventilation System, according to New Atlas.
The system works in conjunction with a smartphone app and GPS. The helmet’s fan is set to only kick on when you’re moving slowly or at a stop.
At high speeds, the helmet is ventilated via the air passing around and over the helmet. Also, the user sets the desired temperature via the app. If wants to, they can turn the fan on all of the time for especially hot days.
Momodesign showed of the Aero helmet at EICMA. Once it goes on sale it’ll retail for over $400.
