Bajaj is preparing one of the largest product overhauls in Pulsar’s history, planning to refresh ten motorcycles across its lineup while launching two entirely new models in the crowded commuter segments by late September.
The refresh touches everything from LED lighting and updated graphics to digital instrument clusters and smartphone connectivity across the 125cc, 150cc, and higher-displacement Pulsars, signaling Bajaj’s intent to keep the brand competitive during India’s crucial festive season.
Ten Models Getting the Modern Treatment
While Bajaj hasn’t detailed each updated model individually, the refresh is expected to span the Pulsar N, NS, and higher-capacity families across the 160cc to 400cc range. Updates include LED headlamps and indicators, which are becoming standard expectations rather than premium features.
The company plans to add Bluetooth-connected digital instrument clusters to some models, bringing them closer in line with newer competitors like the Hero MotoCorp CB350 and Royal Enfield offerings. Refreshed graphics and new color schemes will round out the visual changes on most models.

Mechanically, most models are expected to carry over their existing engines. The focus appears to be on lighting, electronics, and styling rather than displacement or power increases.
New 125cc and 150cc Models Fill the Commuter Gap
Beyond the ten refreshes, Bajaj is developing an all-new 125cc Pulsar and a completely redesigned 150cc model. The 150cc variant could represent a generational jump from the current platform, incorporating contemporary styling, an all-LED lighting package, and a more feature-rich digital console.
The 125cc segment has become increasingly important in India as buyers look for bikes that balance affordability with modern features and styling. Bajaj’s move suggests these two new models will compete directly against middleweight and commuter rivals from other manufacturers.
Additionally, the company has been testing a new adventure-style motorcycle, though its official status and name remain unconfirmed. If launched, it would be another mid-range addition to Bajaj’s portfolio.
Why Now? The Festive Season Push
Bajaj intends to complete most launches within six weeks, positioning the bulk of these updates ahead of India’s festive season when two-wheeler sales traditionally spike. The strategy addresses a clear competitive pressure: the domestic market is increasingly crowded, with manufacturers adding LED lighting, connectivity, and premium styling even to affordable commuter bikes.
Bajaj’s domestic motorcycle volumes did grow in the latest quarter, but the company reports that growth trailed the broader industry expansion. A refreshed Pulsar portfolio in time for the peak selling season could help reverse that trend and give customers more reasons to choose Pulsar over rivals.
