Bali-based Smoked Garage has transformed a humble TVS Ronin into “Kensai,” the fourth installment in their Samurai-inspired series of custom builds.
Named after a master swordsman, the project reimagines the modern-retro commuter as a dark, aggressive machine with a dual personality that shifts between a sharp café racer and a muscular streetfighter.
This Custom TVS Ronin by Smoked Garage Is Downright Beautiful
The custom TVS Ronin build features extensive hand-formed metalwork, including a radical fuel tank with wide lower shoulders, an industrial floating seat upholstered in split brown leather, and a custom belly pan that adds significant visual bulk to the small-displacement bike. The aesthetic is completed by a deep green paint job with dark copper accents and ambient lighting that highlights the bike’s complex geometry.

Technically, Kensai pushes the Ronin platform far beyond its factory specifications with an aggressive wheel setup featuring wide Pirelli SuperCorsa tires on both ends. To maintain agility, Smoked Garage engineered custom CNC-machined triple clamps to recalibrate the steering geometry. The most significant mechanical departure is the addition of a fully adjustable air suspension system, allowing the rider to change the bike’s stance and ride height on the fly.
Performance is further enhanced by a dramatic custom exhaust system that snakes through the belly pan and exits via an underseat muffler, turning the reliable single-cylinder commuter into a formidable showstopper that debuted to great acclaim at TVS MotoSoul in Goa.
