This is the Royal Enfield Bear 650, transformed into the “Black Bear” by the undisputed master of monochrome, Tanadit Sarawek (or simply Eak) of K-Speed in Bangkok. The K-Speed workshop operates under a philosophy where black paint and matte finishes dominate, aiming to strip a factory machine of its innocence and infuse it with a sharper, darker identity.
The goal for the new custom Royal Enfield Bear was to leverage its existing scrambler platform to create a powerful back street brawler, focusing entirely on a clean silhouette and aggressive stance.
This Custom Royal Enfield Bear 650 Is Everything I Want in Black
The custom work began by radically reshaping the bike’s proportions. Eak replaced the stock rear with a hand-rebuilt subframe that is noticeably shorter and sleeker, immediately lending the machine a much tighter profile.
This new rear is topped with a minimalist Diablo seat from K-Speed’s in-house catalog. To further define its scrambler attitude, the plastic fenders were removed and replaced with custom, hand-rolled pieces, including a distinctive high-mounted unit up front.
Function and art merge in the bike’s mechanical highlights. The most commanding modification is the high-mounted exhaust system, which Eak insisted on hand-making. This free-flowing steel work snakes elegantly up the right side, serving as a clean, sculptural element that defines the build.

For actual riding substance, the bike was fitted with aggressive knobby tires, complemented by fully adjustable rear shocks and re-jigged inverted forks to ensure it handles as well off-road as it looks.
The final touches complete the dark aesthetic. All controls are clean and minimalist, with a relocated speedo, new levers, and custom handlebars. The lighting system is equally subtle, featuring a tightly tucked-in headlight on a custom bracket and minimal LED turn signals. The “Black Bear” is a seamless, functional work of art: a Royal Enfield refined through the dark arts of K-Speed into an aggressive, clean, and perfectly balanced monochrome machine.
