Custom Kawasaki 250TR Scrambler by Heiwa Motorcycle

This is a custom Kawasaki 250TR, a scrambler forged by the quiet and precise hands of Kengo Kimura at Heiwa Motorcycle in Hiroshima, Japan. Kimura-san’s philosophy is about distillation, about creating a machine where every single component has a purpose, a reason for being there.

The 250TR, a simple, air-cooled single-cylinder from the early 2000s, was the perfect starting point for this custom, which has been christened “250TR No. 018.”

The transformation involved stripping the bike down and reshaping its very skeleton—the frame and subframe—for a slimmer, more aggressive posture. The list of modifications is all about function and style working in harmony. A custom synthetic leather seat provides the perch, while scrambler bars with MX grips give the rider control.

Lighting is kept to an absolute minimum, a nod to the bike’s lean aesthetic. A custom, handmade exhaust system provides the soundtrack, and the bike grips the dirt with rugged Dunlop D603 tires on classic spoked wheels.

The whole package is finished in a stunning metallic green paint job by ACN. But here’s the real kicker: this bike is part of Heiwa’s more accessible range. It’s a powerful statement to other builders that you don’t need a massive budget or an over-the-top design to create a truly great custom motorcycle.

It proves that with meticulous craftsmanship and a timeless design, you can elevate a bike’s original DNA, making it something truly special.
