A fellow with grease under his fingernails and dreams in his head, a real mechanical wizard, decided he wasn’t content with the usual kick-start dance. Sean Jackson, from Competition Distributing, is a mechanical enthusiast and vintage motorcycle lover. He built this beauty.

He plumbed in an inertia starter, one of those noisy contraptions from the days when propellers spun and liberty was on the line. It’s a bit of a show, a whine and a clatter, but then, ka-thump, that old Panhead engine roars to life.
He didn’t just stop there. He fashioned a frame sturdy as an oak tree, inspired by some old shop stool, if you can believe it. And the parts? A mix-and-match of history, from a sleek stainless steel suspension that glides like a dream to a rebuilt engine with a fancy 3D-printed carburetor setup.
This custom 1948 Harley-Davidson Panhead stripped down, no unnecessary frills, just pure, unadulterated American iron. This creation, a true testament to ingenuity, even snagged itself a grand prize at the Biltwell People’s Champ Award. It’s the kind of ride that just makes you wanna chew on a plug of tobacco and watch the miles melt away.
