LiveWire and KYMCO have two good-looking maxi-scooters. Yes, you read that right. LiveWire, Harley-Davidson’s electric offspring, is teaming up with Taiwan’s KYMCO to deliver an electric maxi-scooter to Europe by 2026, powered by LiveWire’s S2 Arrow platform.
This collaboration deepens their partnership from 2022, when KYMCO first invested in LiveWire, aiming to shape the future of electric mobility in the shape of scooters.
LiveWire and Kymco’s Scooters Look Cool
For KYMCO, this isn’t just about a single project. They’re charging ahead with EV innovations like the RevoNEX—a high-performance electric street bike that also borrows LiveWire’s S2 powertrain—and Ionex, their clever swappable battery system tailored for two-wheelers.
Karim Donnez, CEO of LiveWire, believes KYMCO’s expertise will make their “class-leading” maxi-scooter vision a reality. This electric beast promises to blend LiveWire’s raw electric power with KYMCO’s scooter know-how, designed for riders seeking urban convenience and performance.
KYMCO Chairman Allen Ko calls LiveWire a “leader in urban electric mobility,” eager to bring their combined strengths to a new, battery-powered chapter in European commuting. By 2026, the electric maxi-scooter will be ready to roll, promising a new kind of urban glide for those looking to leave petrol behind.
