With cold weather officially here (it snowed at my house today), it’s time to start thinking about layering up with long-sleeve shirts because let’s face it, you’re not ready to put the bike away for winter yet.
There’s still plenty of good riding season to enjoy, but you’ll need to dress for it, and that means layering underneath your motorcycle jacket.

If the quarter zip isn’t enough for you, how about a half zip? Wellen sells this half-zip pullover. It features 100 percent recycled polyester, making it a perfect choice. It’s soft and warm and has a large pocket at the front, a cord lock system at the hem to keep cold from creeping in, and snaps at the zipper for added protection from the elements.

Flint and Tinder 10-Year French Terry Crewneck
One of the nice things about the 10-Year French Terry Crewneck is that it has flatlock stitching to avoid chafing. The soft, yet durable cotton shirt is the perfect shirt under the right jacket. Again, it won’t perform as well as will, but it’s perfect under a jacket on those chilly fall days.

Vuori Ponto Performance Crew
Stepping away from cotton material again, we get to this shirt from Vuori. Made of 89 percent polyester and 11 percent elastane, it might be one of the most comfortable shirts on this list for those long chilly rides. It wicks away moisture in ways that these other shirts don’t. Don it under a jacket and ride off into the chilly sunset.

Marine Layer Corbet Quilted Crewneck
This one might be my favorite. I love a good quilted crewneck sweatshirt. Marine Layer’s shirt is comfortable, warm, and fashionable. It’s made of 79 percent polyester and 21 percent rayon, which does a good job of keeping you warm out there. The quilted makeup of this shirt makes it super toasty under a motorcycle jacket. It also looks darn good both on and off the bike.
