I’ve talked about a lot of different types of motorcycles on this blog, but power cruisers have to be one of my favorites.

These are bikes that are cruisers but designed with high-performance engines that can rocket your from a standstill to highway speeds in no time at all.

I thought it best to put together a list of the top five power cruisers that are on sale today. Here are my picks.

1. Triumph Rocket 3

Triumph came out with a new Rocket 3 this year. It has the R version which is a little more sporty, and then the GT, which is more of a touring bike. Overall, the Rocket 3 is much improved over the last model and it should be at the top of any power cruiser list. The bike has the largest engine fitted to any factory motorcycle. It’s a 2,458cc Inline 3-cylinder that’s liquid-cooled and puts out 165 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque.

2. Yamaha VMAX

The Yamaha VMAX might be the ugliest motorcycle on sale. It makes up for those nasty looks with extremely impressive performance. The bike has been out for a number of years now and it still manages to be one of the most powerful and impressive power cruisers on the market. This bike is powered by a 1679cc, liquid-cooled 65° V-four engine that puts out 200 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque.

Need an Italian cruiser stallion? Then the Ducati Diavel 12060 S is the power cruiser for you. This motorcycle looks a little funky and it’s the closest thing you’ll get to a sportbike in cruiser form. Ducati powers this beast with a 159 hp and 95 lb-ft of torque 1,262cc Testastretta DVT 1262 L-twin engine. It’s a bike unlike any other coming out of Italy.

Suzuki’s cruiser lineup has been decimated lately, and there hasn’t been much going on with the bike maker in general other than the new Katana. With that said, the Suzuki Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. is still one of the best power cruisers out there and one of the best motorcycles period in the company’s lineup. This bike features a monster 1783cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine that puts out 128 hp and around 115 lb-ft of torque. It’s also the cheapest bike here. Looking for cheap power, this is it.

5. ARCH KRGT-1
