5 Best Motorcycle Waxes and Polishes

Best Motorcycle Waxes and Polishes

You want your motorcycle to look good right? That means you not only have to keep your bike clean but you’ll need to use the best motorcycle waxes and polishes to ensure that it looks awesome.

With that in mind, here are some of the best waxes and polishes out there. These are highly rated and products that you can use on your bike to get a shine like no other.

I’ve owned many bikes over the years and if there’s one thing I’ve done with my bikes, it’s making sure they shine and look good. It doesn’t matter if they’re a cafe racer, a bobber, or a cruiser. These are the best motorcycle waxes and polishes to make your bike do that.

1. Spyt Shyne Spray Wax

Spyt Shyne Spray Wax

Of all the waxes and polishes out there, this is the one I’d buy hands down. Spyt Shyne is a product that’s unlike any other and its made by a guy who is extremely passionate about what he does. I actually wrote an article about him for Russ Brown’s blog. Terry reworked one of the best products out there with a chemist to create a spray wax that’s better than the closest competition. It works on everything, too, chrome, painted surfaces, plastics, etc. If you’re looking to give your bike an amazing shine, this is the product for it.

Maxima Speed Wax

Maxima Speed Wax

Maxima Speed Wax is another product that’s readily available from all of the major motorcycle gear retailers I use. It’s an all-in-one detailer that shines and protects everything from painted surfaces to chrome. It’s designed to minimize effort and make your bike look good. It’s a smart choice if you’re low on time and money.

3. Motul Wash & Wax

Motul Wash & Wax

Motul is a well-respected name in the automotive and motorcycle care world, and the company’s products can be found just about anywhere. This Wash & Wax spray is a dry cleaner and it will get your bike looking good without using water. The other products listed here do the same, but this is another great option and can be used on pretty much any surface.

4. S100 Detail and Wax

S100 Detail and wax

For a product with such a low price tag, the S100 Detail and Wax really does a pretty good job. It’s the cheapest option here, but it won’t make your bike look cheap. The performance of the S100 product isn’t as good as something like Spyt Shyne, but for around $9 (depending on the retailer) can you really complain? It’s easy to use and will do a good job.

5. Meguiar’s Motorcycle EZ Clean Spray & Rinse

Meguiar's Motorcycle EZ Clean Spray & Rinse

Meguiar’s is one of those brands that’s extremely well known in the automotive space for its car care products, but it also makes some of the best motorcycle care products, too. There are plenty to choose from but I like the Motorcycle EZ Clean. It gets the job done and can help keep your bike looking good. It takes minimal effort, too, which is nice, and it’s about as cheap as the S100 product listed before this one.

As you probably know, there are many other waxes and polishes and detailing products for motorcycles out there. It seems that everyone has something that they swear by.

I’m not going to fight anyone if they have their own list of best motorcycle waxes and polishes. These are the products I recommend, but if you have something that’s worked for you in the past, or you think there’s something I should really add to my list, let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear your thoughts and hear what you think is the best wax or polish for your motorcycle.
