Yamaha has introduced the fourth-generation MT-07 for 2025 in Europe, with updates to the styling, chassis, weight, and features like ride modes and an optional automatic transmission. With the 2025 Yamaha MT-07 being such a big daddy in its lineup, the rest of the world will soon see this bike too.
The New 2025 Yamaha MT-07 Has Arrived
Despite adding new components that should have increased weight, the MT-07 is lighter than the previous model. The bike features new wheels, bodywork, and fuel cap, with styling that matches the Dark Side of Japan design language.
The engine remains a 689cc CP2 Parallel-Twin, but with updated intake system and fuel tank cover for a unique sound. The addition of the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle ride-by-wire system offers preset ride modes and traction control levels.
The 2025 model comes with manual or Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission, both sharing a six-speed gearbox. The updated frame design improves rigidity while reducing weight, and the bike gets inverted forks and radial-mount calipers for the first time.
A new TFT screen, connectivity with smartphones, wireless navigation capabilities, and updated switchgear are part of the electronic upgrades. The 2025 MT-07 will be available in three color options: Ice Storm, Icon Blue, and Tech Black. U. S. availability (and pricing) is expected to be announced soon.
