Looking for the best bobbers? I have the list for you. A bobber is usually a motorcycle that you create yourself. I’ve showcased many bobbers on this website that are hand-built custom creations. Personally, I prefer these to the mass-manufactured bobbers that are out there.
However, there are certainly some motorcycles that come with the bobber look. Many aren’t the hardtail bobbers I think of when I think of this type of bike. They’re more refined, which is okay on the right motorcycle.
If you want the bobber look and don’t have the skills, tools, expertise, or workspace to craft your own, then these can be a good option. Let’s take a look at the five best bobbers you can buy.
1. Triumph Bonneville Bobber
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is created to capture the bobber styling craze. Folks love a bike that looks stripped down and the Bonneville Bobber is just that. The motorcycle features a 1,200cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 77 hp and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It does get modern features like switchable traction control and ABS, so it’s not as stripped-down as it may seem.

2. Indian Scout Bobber
The Indian Scout Bobber takes the venerable Indian Scout and transforms it into a bobber from the factory. It’s a little too refined for my tastes, but there are a lot of eye-catching elements to this machine. Indian certainly put the time in on it. The bike features a 1,133cc V-twin engine that makes 100 hp, and the engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

3. Yamaha Bolt
I’m usually less than enthusiastic about Yamaha’s motorcycles. I’ve been snubbed by their PR folks one too many times to think highly of the company. That said, I have to say the Yamaha Bolt is a really nice motorcycle. It has bobber-ish styling and a reasonable price. It has a good ole air-cooled engine with a displacement of 942cc that makes 65 hp. The engine mates to a 5-speed transmission. It’s far from a technological wonder, but it’s still a nice motorcycle.

4. Harley-Davidson Street Bob
It has been said that the Harley-Davidson Street Bob is the bike that started the straight-from-the-manufacturer bobber bike style, and I won’t argue that. The bike has been in HD’s lineup for some time. It’s a winner by may accounts, and it only takes a few minutes astride one to figure out why. It’s simply a nice motorcycle with bobber-like styling. The bike gets the 1,753cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine that makes 110 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 6-speed transmission.

5. Cleveland CycleWerks Heist
I actually hesitated to put Cleveland CycleWerks Heist on here. It is a bobber straight from the factory, but the bike is designed and built for riders who want to really customize their machine and make it special. With that said, there’s no reason you can’t ride this bike stock. It’s a hardtail and about as simple as a motorcycle comes, and there’s little to dislike about it. The engine is a 229cc single-cylinder that makes 15.4 hp. It has a 5-speed transmission.

Additional Bobbers
Do you have some other options you think should be included in my list of best bobbers? Leave me a comment below. I don’t know of too many more options out there, and the ones that are out there, I’m not sure if they’re really better options than the ones that I have listed here.
With that said, I’m certainly open to you bringing up some additional options. Bobbers are fantastic machines, and my very first motorcycle was a cheap kit bike bobber that had a 125cc air-cooled engine. I loved that thing until I traded it for a bigger and faster bike.
