Suzuki has pulled the wraps off an ultra-exclusive GSX-R1000R Stealth Edition at the Turin Motor Show, and just 10 will ever leave the factory.
The special model is available only through Suzuki Italy’s online ordering system at €21,690 including VAT, roughly $25,000 at current exchange rates.
What Makes the Stealth Different
The design draws inspiration from an unlikely source: Suzuki’s marine outboard engine lineup. The blacked-out livery blends gloss and matte black surfaces, stepping away from the blue and white 40th Anniversary paint on the standard model.
Suzuki says the outboard engine connection explains the name as much as the look. The Stealth Line of marine motors shares the same muted, dark aesthetic that distinguishes them from conventional outboards.
Beyond the paint, Suzuki fitted a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, carbon fiber winglets, a smoked windscreen, and a single-seat cover. Each of the 10 bikes carries a numbered plaque on the top triple clamp.
Underneath sits the 2026 GSX-R1000R platform that returned to the lineup earlier this year after a Euro 5+ update ended the model’s hiatus in several markets. The 999.8cc inline-four uses Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing to produce 195 PS at 13,200 rpm and 110 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
The electronics package runs through a six-axis IMU feeding 10-level traction control, cornering ABS, anti-wheelie control, a bidirectional quickshifter, and launch control. Showa Balance Free forks and a matching shock handle suspension, with Brembo radial-mount four-piston calipers squeezing 320mm front discs.
Why Italy Gets It and Nobody Else Does
Suzuki Italy commissioned the Stealth as a market-specific special. The pricing sits €1,200 above the standard 40th Anniversary GSX-R1000R at €20,490, which tells you the premium buys exclusivity more than performance.
The GSX-R name turns 40 in 2026, and the Stealth joins the anniversary editions already in showrooms. For riders outside Italy, those colorful anniversary liveries remain the dressiest option.
I have to think the outboard engine inspiration will appeal more to collectors than to track day regulars. With 10 units at a modest premium, the appeal is scarcity, not a different motorcycle underneath.
