Aprilia’s at it again, stirring the pot of middleweight madness with the Tuono 457, set to hit Indian streets come mid-February 2025. But before the rubber meets the road, they’ve gone ahead and patented the Tuono 457 design.
Aprilia is staking its claim in a segment that’s already a bare-knuckle brawl featuring the KTM 390 Duke and Yamaha MT-03. My question is will this bike come to the US, and my best guess is, yes.
Aprilia Tuono 457 Design Patents Surface and Have Me Excited
This isn’t just an RS 457 with its clothes off. Sure, it shares the same bones—same parallel-twin heart pumping out 47bhp and 43.5Nm, same six-speed gearbox, same TFT dash with Bluetooth and rider aids galore. But the Tuono 457 trades in the race crouch for a more streetwise stance, swapping clip-ons for a tubular handlebar and tweaking the footpeg position for all-day comfort.
The fairing’s gone, leaving behind an aggressive cowl framing that sharp LED headlamp, while the muscular tank and sculpted tail keep things looking sharp. This is a good-looking naked bike.

Suspension? Adjustable USD forks up front, monoshock out back. Brakes? Single discs at both ends, backed by ABS. In short, it’s everything you need to carve up city streets or let loose on the open road—just without the full-fairing commitment.
And knowing Aprilia, they’re not just coming to play. They’re coming to win. It’s unclear which markets around the world this bike will could come to, but I’m hoping we see it in the US. We get the rS 457, so it makes sense that Aprilia would bring the Tuono 457, too. I want me a baby Tuono.
