Fifty years of Gold Wing. Half a century of cross-country hauls, iron-butted ambition, and the quiet hum of a horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine smoothing out the miles.
For 2025, Honda tips its hat to the legend with a 50th Anniversary edition, dressing the grand tourer in three commemorative liveries—Bordeaux Red Metallic, Matte Black Metallic, and Eternal Gold—plus a non-anniversary Light Silver Metallic for those who prefer their nostalgia without the extra garnish.
The 2025 Honda Gold Wing The 50th Anniversary Edition Looks Better Than Ever
The special editions come with badging, a start-up screen reminder of 1975, and a collector’s package complete with a coffee table book and a 3D scale model—one side the 2025 bike, the other a 1975 throwback. But don’t let the sentimental extras fool you—under the skin, this is still the big, long-legged machine that swallows highways whole.

Notably missing for 2025? The Gold Wing’s built-in navigation system. Honda figures you’ll get by with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 1,833cc flat-six gets an O2 sensor and ECU tweaks to stay on the right side of Euro 5+ emissions. Transmission choices remain: a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT with forward and reverse walking modes, because sometimes a bike this big needs to be finessed into place.
Four ride modes—Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain—keep the Wing adaptable, while cruise control, hill-start assist, and a seven-inch TFT screen handle the business of modern grand touring. The Tour models throw in a heated seat, just in case you needed another excuse to keep going when the temperature drops.
The bones stay the same. Twin-spar frame, single-sided swingarm, and a Showa double-wishbone front suspension with 4.3 inches of travel up front, 4.1 in the rear. Braking duties fall to six-piston Nissin calipers up front and a combined ABS system to balance out the stopping power. And because storage matters when you’re chasing the horizon, the side cases hold 30 liters apiece, while the Tour’s trunk adds another 61 liters of road trip-ready space.
The 2025 Gold Wing and Gold Wing Tour roll into showrooms in March, with pricing starting at $25,200 for the bagger and $28,700 for the full-dress touring model. The legend rolls on, just as smooth and steady as ever.
