Yet cruise control remains curiously absent. There’s also a redesigned intake duct, promising a little more punch in the low-to-mid range, all controlled via a new 6.3-inch TFT display with handy switchgear and smartphone connectivity via Y-Connect.
The Ténéré can now guide you through trails with Google navigation and two display themes: a classic analog tach in Street mode or a sleeker, digital Explorer look.
In rally-inspired fashion, Yamaha restyles the Ténéré with a sharp quad-LED headlight, a flatter seat, and new bodywork. The suspension gets KYB tweaks for smoother load absorption, though travel stays the same at 8.3 inches up front and 7.9 inches in the rear.
With a redesigned clutch cover and roomier, longer footpegs, Yamaha is finally addressing rider comfort issues highlighted since the 2019 launch. Three-channel ABS and new self-canceling turn signals round out the tech updates.
