Harley-Davidson has been making big moves and that’s why the company dominates the news this week. Also, I couldn’t leave out BMW’s big announcement.

Harley-Davidson Pulls Out of India, Kills Sportster in Europe

This is a strategic move by Harley. The company wasn’t well-positioned to compete in India. In Europe, it didn’t make sense to update the Sportster line for the Euro 5 emissions. These moves should make Harley leaner and fee up some capital.

The Bavarian motorcycle company has taken a page out of it’s automotive playbook. It’s now offering M Division bikes. The M1000RR is an upgrades S1000RR and is track-ready.

The Harley-Davidson 388R Is the China-Made Harley for China

Harley now has its small-displacement bike for China. It’s called the 388R and is a reworked Qianjiang QJ350. The bike has been restyled to look like a Harley, but It’s the QJ350 underneath. It will be sold exclusively in China.
