New Bosch Radar System Will Feature on KTM Motorcycles

Bosch is at it again, bringing cutting-edge technology to the world of motorcycles. Set to launch in 2025, their latest radar-guided Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) will offer bikers a range of safety and convenience features, especially with KTM’s upcoming V-twin Super Adventure model. Think of it as a system that can stop your bike on a dime, tail a vehicle effortlessly, and even warn drivers that they’re tailgating too close.

This Bosch Radar System Can Stop Your Bike in Traffic and More

The heart of this Bosch radar system lies in the Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT), which, when paired with these radar systems, will allow bikers to come to a complete stop behind cars and pull away seamlessly.

Safety is the key player here, with Bosch integrating Emergency Brake Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and even a Group Ride Assist (GRA) to keep everyone in sync when riding in packs.

Bosch isn’t just about safety, though. The technology promises to make riding more intuitive without robbing you of the thrill. As Bosch’s Geoff Liersch said, it’s about pushing tech while preserving the fun. They’ve got the lean angles covered too—when you’re banking into a corner, the radar will adjust its beams to ensure it’s tracking correctly, while the braking assist stays aware of your tilt to ensure a smooth stop.

This system is just the beginning, and Bosch sees a future where every bike, regardless of price, can tap into this tech, reducing accidents globally. Could this be the ABS story all over again? It sure seems like it.
